Local Knoxville – Euphoric Cheese Shop

I love to support any local business. And I love cheese. I heard about a new shop opening in West Knoxville (West End Ave, down the street from Farragut Schools) and began following them on Facebook.

A family get together is coming up on Sunday so I decided to check out the shop on Friday to maybe get some unique cheeses or charcuterie items. I knew they carried many items you just don’t find at the local grocery stores so I saw it as a great opportunity to try some yummy cheeses and check out the specialty items.

They have a wide variety of cheese-related items – cheese boards, knives, spreaders, etc. – as well as crackers, nuts, breadsticks, cured meats, olives, pickles, chutney’s and fruit items, sweet choices, and savory. So many choices! I was most excited about the 2 cases of cut-to-order cheeses and the opportunity to sample them.

I am not a cheese expert by any stretch of the imagination. Most of my cheeses come in a package from the grocery store or Costco. But I was not intimidated at all. The two owners were working at that time and they were so friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable. They answered questions, gave descriptions of the cheeses, and made suggestions. There were several customers with a lot of knowledge and the owners had great discussions with them but also treated me with the same respect as a customer. They were just so welcoming.

I will definitely be a repeat customer! Check out their website here and the Euphoric Cheese Shop Facebook Page. And of course, check them out in person at 139 West End Ave.
